8 figures to know about the Medical Caravan of 2022 edition.

During the Rally Aïcha des Gazelles, the volunteers of the association Coeur de Gazelles are active each year for the Medical Caravan. This caravan travels through the southern part of the Moroccan desert to meet the local population in order to transport all the donations collected through different donation campaigns, particularly those carried out by the Gazelles.

Here is a report of the actions carried out during the 31st edition, which ended 1 month ago, in figures*:

🔸 𝟭𝟭𝟵𝟲 paediatric consultations: of the children consulted, 80% had never seen a doctor.

🔹 𝟭𝟬𝟴𝟲 optical consultations

🔸 𝟮𝟲𝟴 adapted pairs of glasses distributed

🔹 𝟰𝟲𝟵 eye consultations

🔸 𝟯𝟬𝟱 medical prescriptions with allocation of suitable drugs

🔹 𝟴𝟯 children medically monitored by the Coeur de Gazelles team for complementary examinations

🔸 𝟭𝟬 wheelchairs distributed to people in need

🔹 𝟭𝟰𝟮𝟵 donation bags of clothes, toys, hygiene products, given to children, their families and nomads in the region, according to their needs
